LebenslaufAfter a multidisciplinary professional education based on the body theatre within the Cie Les Mimobiles (Paris) which he will work during twelve years with, parallel to the arts of circus (Fratellini school) and the Chinese martial arts, Philippe Rives, choreographer and performer, is established in Berlin in 1998 where he quickly founds BK Cie. From there on he radically focuses his research and creations on the body, the performance and the body installation. Discovering step by step the dance scene in Berlin, he is interested more particularly in the principles of the butho and the dance contact which he quite naturally integrates into its work on the slowness. Although slow-motion is a major element in its experiments and creations, he continues to explore the universe that the body potential offers him with its organic laws, rhythms, curves, directions, angles, mass, energies, etc...
In 1991 Ph. Rives makes his first experience with the improvisation on stage. He renews this concept, Improcess, in 2000 in Berlin and proposes since this project to various festivals. In 2004 he creates in:Tance, a solo based on the concept of trance. In 2005, he tries the no-theme which will be the guideline of his 2005 creation, in:Errance. In 2006 he created in:Nerves, based on the concept of the nerves.
